Giving hope together: Thanks to Zurich Group Germany for the great support

It is with great gratitude and joy that we would like to report on a very special Christmas campaign:

It started with a generous Christmas donation of an incredible 15,000 euros. But that wasn’t all: the trainees at Zurich Versicherung also put their heart and soul into our foundation.

As part of an Advent celebration at the Group’s Frankfurt site, the trainees organised a creative wheel of fortune campaign and collected donations to support the important work of our foundation. Thanks to this great initiative, an additional 2,000 euros in donations and several cell line sponsorships were won.

This commitment means far more to us than just financial assistance. Zurich Group Germany gives one thing above all: hope for a cure for children with cancer.

Donations instead of Christmas presents – the tax consulting firms ksp and medicinetaxx help children with cancer

Our Managing Director Marcus Klüssendorf recently visited the offices of the tax consultancy firms medicinetaxx and ksp to personally thank them for their generous donation totalling 5,000 euros. The management team led by Ms Gertrud Scherb, Ms Alexandra Kraft and Mr Markus Neumann decided to forego the usual Christmas gifts for customers and instead donate to a good cause.

We are delighted that the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024, was chosen. A big thank you to the initiator Mrs Scherb and the whole team for this great and vital support, which gives young patients and their families hope for a cure.

A big thank you to WCP GmbH!

Yesterday, our Managing Director Marcus Klüssendorf visited WCP GmbH to personally thank them for their generous donation of 5,000 euros. WCP GmbH creates prototyps for the automotive industry. Despite the difficult market environment, Managing Director Sven Mattis did not miss the opportunity to make another significant donation.

WCP GmbH’s support means so much more to us than just a financial contribution. It is a sign of joint commitment and solidarity for the weakest among us – children with cancer.

This donation will go directly to our research projects, with which we give children with cancer and their families hope for a cure.

A big thank you to Mr Sven Mattis and the entire WCP GmbH team for their commitment and valuable support!

Crown jewels anniversary! The Arnold company donates in the course of its 75th anniversary

The Arnold company is proudly celebrating its 75th anniversary, so we as the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer still feel young with our 30th anniversary – but just as proud of what we have achieved. We are also grateful for another generous donation of 1,899 euros.

Arnold has been supporting our foundation for many years and thus the fight against cancer in children and young people and a life without late effects.

A big thank you to the Arnold company, under the management of Markus Bernsteiner, and congratulations on the 75th anniversary.

A special moment for the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer: “Bell Ringing” ceremony for the Trading Charity

On 11 December 2024, the time had come: an unforgettable day on the trading floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange that fills us with gratitude and pride. As part of the Trading Charity, Marcus Klüssendorf had the honour of ringing the stock exchange bell on behalf of the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer.

We had the great privilege of sharing this special moment with Prof. Dr Elke Jäger from the ‘Living with Cancer’ foundation and Miriam Disselkamp from the ‘Back to Life’ football group.

An impressive result: 100,000 euros for a good cause

Thanks to the commitment of the Trading Charity, an incredible 100,000 euros were raised for the three organisations involved. This sum means more to us than just financial support – it is a sign of solidarity and trust in our work. We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

A big thank you to our supporters

We would like to thank the specialists at the stock exchange who made this success possible:

  • Baader Bank AG
  • Bankhaus Scheich Securities Specialist AG
  • ICF BANK AG
  • mwb fairtrade AG
  • ODDO BHF
  • Steubing AG
  • Tradegate AG
  • Walter Ludwig GmbH Securities Trading Bank

Special thanks go to Deutsche Börse, in particular Dr Theodor Weimer, Michael Krogmann and Martina Dohnke, whose enthusiasm and support made a deep impression on us. Their commitment shows how strong the link between business and social commitment can be.

Looking to the future with confidence

The Trading Charity is not just a fundraising event, but an example of what is possible when people come together to do good. The encouragement we received on this day motivates us to continue our existential research work with even greater dedication – for the children with cancer and their families to whom we give hope with our research.

We say thank you – to everyone who made this day possible and gave us support and encouragement for our work!

That was a surprise: an already generous donation was topped many times over!

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the Managing Director of Hans Jürgen Meseth GmbH, Mr Moriz Pilsel, and his colleague Simon Gatzke.

In conversation with the Managing Director of the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer, Mr Marcus Klüssendorf, and later during a guided tour with researcher Dr Jens-Uwe Vogel, the guests were able to gain a comprehensive picture of the foundation’s research, which is gaining insights into more effective therapies for children and young people with cancer. There were also insights into how the latest medical technology is helping us in research towards personalised, tailor-made therapy.

Mr Pilsel was so impressed by the work that he topped up his original donation of 2,500 euros to 12,500 euros during the visit! We as a foundation are very grateful to Mr Pilsel and the employees of Meseth GmbH for their generous support of cancer research in children and young people. After all, no child should have to die of cancer or suffer the late effects of treatment.

25 years of the ODDO BHF Foundation – special prize awarded to the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer

This week, the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer enjoyed a very special evening: At the 25th anniversary of the ODDO BHF Foundation, we were honoured with a special prize of 15,000 euros!

This support enables us to continue to provide hope for a cure for children with cancer and their families through existential research work.

The event brought together over 300 guests who, together with inspiring personalities such as Dr Eckart von Hirschhausen, Philipp Lahm and Prof Dr Sandra Ciesek, addressed the question of how foundations can promote social cohesion in times of crisis. It was impressive to be part of this evening and to experience the dialogue about the future of philanthropy.

We would like to thank the ODDO BHF Foundation and all those involved for their commitment and support! Together we create hope and opportunities for a better future.

Trade and help: Trading Charity Initiative on 6 December 2024

On St Nicholas’ Day, Friday, 6 December 2024, investors will have the opportunity not only to trade on the stock exchange, but also to do good at the same time. Under the motto “Trade and Help”, Börse Frankfurt is organising its annual Trading Charity Initiative, which supports numerous social projects – including the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer.

Every trade counts!

On this day, Deutsche Börse and the specialists working on the trading floor donate the fees from every executed order. The following are supported:
